This Christmas, Glenrothes’ Rothes Halls stage a pantomime adventure with plenty of magic and a good dose of Fife humour.

Kim Shepherd’s Cinderella is pitch-perfect. Shepherd angelic voice and cheeky demeanour would inspire any wee fairy watching.

Thanks to a punchy script, this Cinders is elevated from the typical eye-batter that doesn’t do very much to a self-assured principal who gets to take the spotlight.

Cinderella’s Ugly Sisters are a fearsome pair of Fifers with a great command of their audience. Colin Little and Greg Powrie are a hilarious duo who really crack the audience up.

Cameron Fulton’s shouty Buttons might not be polished but he quickly builds a rapport with the kids and has boundless energy to drive the show along.

An energetic youth ensemble bring a fun buzz to this show.

Technical gremlins and a tired set take the shine off this production, but some impressive effects will really impress for this smaller production.
